Port drayage

From the terminal gate to your door, or to our dock, with the empty back before the clock runs.

Port drayage: E.B. Transportation Service

Drayage is a short move with a lot of ways to go wrong: an appointment that was never made, a chassis that was not there, free time that quietly expired over a weekend. We run these lanes every day out of PortMiami and Port Everglades, and the job is as much about watching the clocks as it is about driving the miles.

Because the warehouse is ours to work with, a pull does not have to end at a delivery. The box can come to our dock in Hialeah Gardens to be devanned or transloaded, the cargo can go into storage, and the empty can go back the same day, all under one phone number instead of three.

What we move

  • Import containers from PortMiami and Port Everglades
  • Export loads delivered to the terminal against a booking
  • Pulls straight to your warehouse or your customer
  • Pulls to our dock for devanning or transloading
  • Empty returns and street turns

How we run a drayage move

  • Check the booking, the free time and the terminal appointment
  • Pull the box and confirm seal and condition at the gate
  • Deliver, or bring it to our dock for the work you ordered
  • Keep you posted while it is out, not after
  • Return the empty and close the move out

Common questions

Do you handle the terminal appointment?

Yes, that is part of the move. Give us the booking or bill of lading and the free-time dates and we work the appointment around them.

What about demurrage and per-diem?

They are the reason to call early. Demurrage runs while the box sits at the terminal and per-diem runs while you hold the equipment, and both are avoidable far more often than people expect. Tell us the last free day when you book, not after it passes.

Can you store the container instead of delivering it?

Yes. If your receiver is not ready, the box can be yarded with us and delivered when they are, which is usually cheaper than leaving it at the terminal.
