This page explains what we learn about you when you use this website, and what happens to the information you give us when you call, text or message us about freight. It is written to match what the site and the business actually do, not to cover things we do not do.
You can read every page of this site without giving us anything. There are no accounts, no forms and no advertising trackers. We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages get read. Where the law requires your consent before an analytics cookie is set (the EU and EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland), nothing is stored on your device unless you accept the banner; everywhere else it runs by default and the section below explains how to switch it off. We do not sell or share information about you. If you call, text or WhatsApp us, that conversation and the shipment details in it are what we keep, and we keep them to do the work you asked for.
This website is operated by EB TRANSPORTATION SERVICE INC (“E.B. Transportation Service”, “we”, “us”), based in Hialeah Gardens, FL. This policy covers this website and the conversations that begin from it.
What happens depends on where you are visiting from, because the law does. If you are in the EU or EEA, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you are asked once, the first time you arrive, and until you accept, Google Analytics runs in what Google calls consent mode: it counts the visit without storing anything on your device. Accepting lets it store its usual analytics cookie, which is what lets it tell a returning reader from a new one. Declining leaves it storing nothing, permanently.
Everywhere else, including the United States, no law requires us to ask before counting a visit, so we do not put a banner between you and the page and analytics runs by default. You can switch it off in your browser by blocking cookies for this site, or with any of the common tracker-blocking extensions, and the site works identically either way. Nothing here is gated behind being measured.
What we see in Google Analytics is counts: how many people read the warehousing pages, which services get opened, roughly which region a visit came from. We do not use it to identify you, we have not enabled advertising features on it, and we do not combine it with the shipment records described below.
Nothing you type, because there is nothing here to type into. Like any website, the servers that host this one and the network service in front of it keep standard logs: your IP address, the browser you used, which pages you opened and when. Those logs exist to keep the site running and to spot abuse. We do not use them to build a profile of you, and we do not combine them with anything else.
Calling, texting or messaging us is how this site converts, and what you tell us then is what we hold: your name, the number or address you contacted us from, your company, and the details of the shipment itself, which usually means what is coming, when, how it is packed and where it is going. Packing lists, bills of lading and delivery paperwork you send us are part of the same record.
We use that to quote the work, to receive and release your freight correctly, and to invoice you. Shipment and delivery records are also our proof of what we did with your cargo, which is exactly what you would want us to have if a count or a condition is ever disputed, so we keep them for as long as our accounting and insurance obligations require.
Only the people who have to. That means our warehouse staff and drivers handling your freight; the carrier you route, when we load one for you; and our accountant and bank for invoicing. We do not sell your information, we do not share it for anyone’s advertising, and we do not hand it to anyone else unless the law requires it.
The site is served over HTTPS. Shipment records and paperwork are kept in accounts we control, reachable by the people who run the dock and the office. No method is perfect, and we will not pretend otherwise, but we do not keep what we do not need and we do not put your cargo details anywhere they are not needed to move the freight.
Ask us what we hold about you and we will tell you. Ask us to correct it and we will. To change an answer you gave the cookie banner, clear this site’s data in your browser and you will be asked again. Ask us to delete it and we will, except where a shipment or invoice record is one we are required to keep. There is nothing to unsubscribe from, because we do not run a marketing list from this site.
This is a business-to-business freight site. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect anything from them.
If what the site or the business does changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top is updated. The date is the honest signal of when this was last true.
